Greetings one and all welcome to this weeks episode of Adventures of Happy Hales and Joking Jones. This week features our well known friend of Sweet Truck Baby. We hope you like the fun and experiences you witness here and are able to get a joyous moment and memory from it. Please take your seats, silence all mobile phones and remove all distractions. Any crying babies (human) please carry out as not to disturb the other audience members. Thanks for your cooperation. The story will begin shortly.
“Hey, Elder Hales, that was a great studies, you really did learn a lot from that section. I think we could really use that passage today in our teaching efforts. What do you think?”
“Yeah, I think that’d be just great. So simple, yet so profound, I can just see it now. It’ll be great! Welp, Elder Jones, Let’s Get Out of Here! The time is far spent there is little remaining and we’ve got lots of work to do. Let’s get to that first appointment.”
Elder Hales and Elder Jones then quickly ready themselves and speed off to their first appointment down the road. As they began their lesson the phone rings Elder Jones excuses himself to answer. “Yeah, hello Brother Vandi, how are you doing? What’s that? The mechanic says that he is done with the truck and that we need to come pick it up right now as you’ll be leaving. Okay we’re on our way. Thanks.” He then enters back into the lesson which was very wonderful and spirit felt as they were able to teach from their studies that they just had. From there they sped off on bike into town to meet Brother Vandi, the mechanic and Baby.
After instructions from the mechanic saying to manage Brother Vandi said, “ Elders, lets take it for a little test to make sure it is okay.” So, the three of them, Vandi, Hales and Jones get in. Jones gets in the driver seat and Hales in passenger seat as they drove off and squeezed their way into the pedestrian filled traffic of Bo town. After a mere 30 seconds of driving and reaching the first round-a-bout, Baby starts to rev her engine as if to run over all. Controlled and settled by Jones they continued another 30 yards where they were stopped in the middle of town to wait for crossing pedestrians. VVRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Baby started to go wild. She was now throwing heaps and loads of black thick smoke out the tail pipe covering the car and all others around.
“Elder Jones! Let off the gas!” Hales exclaims
“I’m not on it” he replied “she’s in neutral doing it all on her own!”
“Turn it off!” Hales shouted
“She’s already off!” Jones stated. He then questioned “What now!?”
Elder Hales who is very familiar with engines start to jump out of the car to rip apart the enginge but before he could reach she shut down. Now, all the wonderful people could be heard shouting, “Fire! Fire! White man!”
Then, into the smoke the nearest officer dives in and is now standing at the window demanding the license of Elder Jones who peacefully handed it over to him.
“I’m going to take you to the station for excessive use of smoke from this vehicle!” The officer exclaimed to Elder Jones
Now, the silent in surprise, Vandi, jumps out of the car and starts conversing with the police officer. Many others now join the, what seems to be ever heating up commotion of words. Elder Hales is at the engine trying to figure out what’s up as putting in his two cents into the argument looks over and sees Elder Jones sitting in his seat at the window talking to a passerby and inviting them to church. Many others came in to have their own part in the discussion and trying to help release the captured Jones and Hales some exclaiming “This is God’s truck! Let them go. They are just missionaries.”
Now, Elder Hales is at the back of the truck trying to push it off to the side of the road so it isn’t in the middle of the road is about to get run over but finally helped by a good Samaritan to help push.
After a few minuets the officer finally decided to let them go and was in turn leaving but couldn’t before Elder Jones jumped out of the truck and stopped him before he rode off on bike with his own license as to try and collect money from them further down the road.  All re-entered the truck and took it about 50 yards up the road to park it awaiting for further instruction from Markus the Beast and the mechanic.
Elder Jones and Hales walked away a little shaken and awe struck of what had just happened but couldn’t control themselves but to just burst out with laughter.
“Whew, that was a close one Elder Jones. You almost didn’t get to make that flight home next month to see your family. You’d still be in the station.”
“ Ha, Yeah right. They would have just moved my flight to right now if that was the case. We got lucky this time! Let’s not try that one again. If we do…. Your turn to drive.”
“No thanks. I’d like to live to see the day that I get to rejoice with my family.”
“Okay, no problem. I guess we’ll face that bridge when we come to it. Hey Hales,”
“Yeah?”
“ You want some ice cream?”
“Sure! Let’s Go! I’ve had enough excitement for today.”
