Singing with Families.

Another week has passed and I'm still happy! This week was great. We had the whole week to just get out and teach the gospel. There was only one day where we had to do some temporal things but other than that it was just “straight preaching”. On Tuesday we had a zone meeting that helped me get back into the focus of our purpose as missionaries. Our powerful Zone leaders Elder Gherkins and Elder Ray gave an instruction on the family. They spoke so powerfully and plainly of the importance of teaching families and highlighted some parts of Preach My Gospel that really helped us to know again of the importance of family. After the meeting Elder Hovley and i were just so pumped to go and find teach and baptize families again. The whole day was spent contacting families! What a great time it was. We targeted the hours of 4pm to 7 pm to do contacting. Indeed we were able to find, contact and set return appointments with 3 families! Later that evening as we were planning for the next days activities we were still so excited about the new spirit that had come into our lives that we decided that we needed to start singing with these families the song of “Families can be together forever” we printed the lyrics off and have sung many many times to people and what a wonderful calm spirit that follows afterward. Father and mothers hearts have really been softened and a new door to teaching the restored gospel is opened to us. We now have all of out teaching pool save it be two or three invstigators that are families! such a great week it has been! On Thursday we had a guy come and look at our fridge cause it doesn’t ever get cold. As he was there in the house my companion and i just started throwing questions to him about his family and if he thought he would be with them after this life. He gave some answers that showed us that he was a Jehovahs witness. After gaining this small knowledge of his religion we started teaching him in a way that he would understand in his own such doctrine but with correct and restored principles. Meanwhile he worked and diagnosed our fridge. After looking at it for a little while. We sat at the table and talked of the price to fix the thing and what we needed to do to make it work. Then it switched back to the Gospel. We talked of the fall of Adam and Eve and he was just shocked when we showed him in the book of mornon in 2 Nephi 2. Haha it was a fun teaching moment where we taught him in our own house and he wanted to go but we just kept him there asking him questions and more questions. He’s a great guy who is now taking the lessons from the misisionaries on the other side of Bo town. What a great time it is to be a missionary in this dispensation!

so the whole ebola thing is still there. we dont really hear too much about it other than there's a new sick where it don com so i just keep on doing what i do best and thats preach and teach the gospel. President Ostler just gave us the apporval now so we can shake people's hands and eat food that we didnt prepare. ( haha that'll help out with me getting BIG! but really ive lost weight over the past three weeks.. im hungry!!)
