Really this week was just filled with water and yes more water. we got the water fixed in our apartment compound and it was nice to be able not to worry about timing or getting up earlier in the morning to get a bucket of water to shower with. While out teaching we were hit with much rain. no it doesn't stop us nor detour from the missionary work that we are doing. i find it rather interesting but in the rainy season we teach more people and find more new investigators... (and even see the people who are Really prepared for the commitment of baptism) reason is the rain is an excuse for us to get under just about any roof in the city and take a break from walking. my as a white man when they see me in the rain they think i am crazy for being in the rain. Everyone is friendly to us and always welcoming to us. once under the rain they people come with benches and chairs for us to sit. and then they eagerly ask for names and our purpose for being under the rain.-- that is one of my favorite times to just tell them "well we have been sent by God to talk to as many people about our special message that we know is true" This pulls much interest in the people and they start asking questions like "which mission is this from" "whats the message?" It opens the doors for us to then teach and testify of the restored gospel. then when the time comes if the spirit was strong enough and they are truly the ones the lord has prepared they come to church rain or no rain. What a wonderful time it is to be in the mission and time to teach as many families as i can. Yes i pray for rain to hit us everyday!
love you ELDER HALES
