Gathering of Israel

Hey everybody so this week has yet again been a sweet week here in africa!! this week we had a sweet baptism that two young men will be serving missions in next year. they are truely converted! its crazy to think that ive already had X number of baptisms and plenty more to come even this next month. we have 15 investigators with baptismal dates right now! crazy!  this week i have a short story to tell just about an exchane that i had this week with an elder penia. well since we are so far away from our district leader i had to go to the godrige appartment where some of the otherelders were living. i stayed the night there with them where we all talked an shared things about the gospel together.. you know what missionaries to, (try to find interesting scriptures or doctrine those type things.. or trying to prove the muslims wrong) well as we all talked the night away it was time for the next day. the next day we were talking to a recent convert elder penia and i. he was so sweet and wanted help on an asignment that was given to him. it was to teach the gathering on israel. well i elder hales knew not much about it. elder penia didnt eithter, (elder penia is samoan and doesnt speak much english).But as missionaries we are supposed to know all.... well i prayed in my heart that the lord would be able to make this knowledge known unto us. as i took the manual given to him i opened my mouth to start to help this man to come to know about the gathering of israel, stumbling small in the beginning we were able to pick up the pieces and teach with the power of the spirit and know just what to teach this man. honestly it has been my first lesson that i have cried in because i felt the spirit teach through me so strong. i felt this because i could see in this mans eyes (brother Thomas) that he understood and that he can be apart of the Gathering of Israel! what a wonderful week it was!
