Baptism Day

So i would assume the pictures were of the baptism on saturday? President and Sister roggia were there and i knew i could get into some pictures for home for you guys to see me haha ;) yeah yeah i know my hair is  getting long. which is too bad. yes i looove my comb over missionary look and i love my sweet curls, but unfortunently the little kids like it too.. a little too much. as we walk through the shacks and houses and huts all the kids yell "white man whiteman" and then flock to us like we are someone famous. they pull the hair on my arms and love running their hands through my hair. the kids here don't have hair on their heads or their arms so its amusing to them. haha but i love playing with the kids and telling them things. there are so
so many kids everywhere.

the flooding near the Brewersville Chapel...

--lake powell, that sounds like so much fun lake powell nic said that she went to lake Powell too! mayn that would be cool but which is cooler? living in poverty teaching people how to come closer to their
heavenly father to enter into the eternal kingdoms of glorly-- or lake Powell?? :) Poverty!! Rain one day? wow that's killer! we get rain seven days a week! sometimes God forgets to turn the water off for
us and we walk all day in the rain soooooaaaaking wet. but that doesn't stop some missionaries proclaiming the gospel to all nations people and tongues right?  so the elder named elder jenkins who wrote libby frower went home recently and i tell ya what, he was a legend of this land. Everywhere you go you hear of him,
Jenkins Jenkins. haha He even left a couple of her letters in the room that im in! ELDER JINKINS haha legend i tell ya!

the Package makes things and life so much better its crazy how a few simple food items can bring tears to the eyes of many missionaries. thos simple things that we take for granted everyday are so much more meaningful to me. like a flushing toilet.. how is that? anyway in the package i liked the hard candy the cookies granola bars and the mombas. well actually everything in it is being savored and taken down slow. but anything is better than nothing. so whatever you want to send and think would be a nice treat or something just do as you wish!...

so today we were washing our clothes and just before i was about to dump the water out of my bucket my companion yells ''Stop Stop stop! save that water!!" Its for flushing our toilet..
Elder Symons and Elder Hales

so on saturday we had a baptism. basically we have conversions every week! its so cool! my companion and i converted two little kids in the pictures. i was going to baptize them but when i woke up that day i was feeling a little down on myself and didn't want their oprotunity to feel the spirit be decided on my intentions, so Elder Symons got to do it that day. next time it will be me!! cause on Saturday we have Three more!!! so excited we would have had five but two of them are co-habittating and thats not allowed. so maybe in two or three weeks when they move apart!

everything i have is holding up pretty well except for the belts from missionary mall. they suck. my shoes are kick trash and i couldn't imagine coming here with anything else except for my eccos!! THANK YOU MOTHER! this is what i say everyday when i have to put on my shoes. without them my life would be hell. because we use our legs quite a bit :) i have been sick a couple times. not anything bad though so you don't have to worry. my second day out in the mission field i was sick. so sick. we had rice rice rice and then when we taught a recent convert she fed us cold rice and cold cassava leaf. later that night i puked all over our room.. wow good way to make an impression on my companion! other than that sometimes i have what they call runny tummy which is just diarrhea so not a bad thing just normal African life ;)
Elder Sumrak in front of Elder Hales

So this week Elder Sumrack and i have been having some good chats and talks in the home. and mayn he is such a stud! he keeps me up on my missionary studies and helps me keep my spirit strong when i feel
down. he always tells me he loves me and all sorts of things haha he is seriously my best friend in mission!
I am so glad that i can be out here on a mission for the lord. As well as make my family proud! Leave a Legacy! that's my quote for now i want to have all the kids and people say Elda Ales! Elda Ales! the
Hales name is known in Africa and i will make it known unto many more! Seriously this is the best mission in the world. there is no other place that i would rather be right now in my life then here, proclaiming the gospel to those people who are search, truly searching for the truth. I may not know a lot about the gospel and i may not have been the best student in Sunday school class but i do know that this Gospel is true. so true. its undeniable! And i love it!

 T-I-A!!     This Is Africa!!

 I Love you

 ELDA ALES
