Week one in Hill Station Freetown Area

Dear Family and Friends,
 I know that Elder Hales would really appreciate hearing from you.  It is very easy and free to go to http://www.dearelder.com/ and click on the tab Write A Letter.  Then you just need to select Sierra Leone Freetown West Africa in the drop-down menu and fill in the boxes.  Your message will be printed out and mailed for free to Elder Hales.  There is a countdown clock to tell you how long before the next batch of letters are sent.  Elder Hales says that if we write letters on dearElder.com on Friday, Saturday or Sunday the letter will be in his hands the following Friday right now as he lives right next door to the mission home.  I am in freetown. my area is called hill station. its on the east
side of freetown and its at the top of the mountain. we have mountains
here that we hike and hike and hike all day, a couple miles a day!
have you ever hiked with nice shoes? well its tough but i do
it!! the area is green and steep and rocky. no no dimonds but maybe in
another area that i go to. my cmpanions name is from kansas city, yes he went to byu also! there are eight of us in our house and our house is nice. cold showers out of a
bucket slow slow running water and the power is questionable on when
its going to come and go but dont fret we get along alrhight!! I am leaning Krio!
