Day to Day (July 23, 2012)

So this week has been quite a good week. monday was so nice to hear from everyone and what they were doing the words of family make this week just that much more sweet! haha anyway so i recived quite the stack of dear elder letters which i am so grateful for!
First apartment in Freetown next to mission office

Okay so yes we live in the same place the office elders do! it is right next to the mission home. i see elder and sister laretzen almost everyday! its nice to talk to someone who lives so close to home. Elder sumrack can type so so so fast and can put more into his letters to home. but yes i am the fix it man in the apartment. before i left i bought me a kick trash leatherman wave that can fix just about anything here in africa!
Elder and Sister Laretzen (from Woodland Hills)

so we wake up at 6 in the morning pray as district (cause the whole district stays in the same apartment) then we exercise for 30-40 mins and cook and shower. cooking in the morning we usually have rice or eggs or oatmeal. we have a propane stove with a small oven that gets way too hot to cook anything. but to shower we fill a bucket and use a cup to rinse and do all that. the power doesn't work in the bathroom so i have to use the kick trash flashlight a that i stole from my grandpa to see as i shower in the mornings and evenings. after we get ready for the day we have study from 8-11 and sometimes to 12. we suit up for the day. pack our backpacks with everything that we need for the day. (book of Mormons usually like 5 or 6, tracks and other things lunch and water) then we head out. we walk about five blocks to a street and take a
taxi up the mountain for about 15 mins then we head off to our area and go teach and share the word of god with everyone we see! haha our last appointment is usually around 5 or 6 and we try to be in by 7 or
8 because of the danger of us being out at night and the absence of taxi drivers at night. when we get home we close for the night cook and then hangout/study for the night and then go to bed.. then do it again on a day to day basis!!

So YES! i got the pakages two of them!! garments gum and FOOD real food haha it was so nice to get a package!  no mom we cant get hamburger or pancake mix they are too pricey for use poor missionaries and no cheese that's too expensive too. when you guys send a packages can you send measuring cups, pens a ward directory maybe, pictures of stuff going on at home or just of sf and letters in the packages. as soon as i ripped the package open that was the first thing that i was searching for was letters haha anyway.

 LOVE YOU ALL ELDER HALES
